Make a trip through Austria’s “Wachau” wine region. You will not be disappointed! Outstanding wines all throughout, and stunning countryside.
The Wachau Valley is an Austrian region near the Danube River, west of Vienna. It’s known for its rolling hills, vineyards, and fortresses. Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned in the castle above the town of Dürnstein. Allan Diaz Laroza gives us a peek at what’s usually unseen by tourists.

The boundaries of the Wachau has traditionally been the valley of the Danube between the village of Melk and Krems. Along with the Kremstal and Kamptal, the Wachau is one of the coolest wine regions in Austria.
