Filipino Nurse Injects First COVID Vaccine in the United Kingdom
Filipina nurse May Parsons gave the first-ever Coronavirus vaccine shot to a 90-years old UK woman on December 8, 2020. She said it was a historic day, a light at the end of the tunnel.
The approved vaccine by Pfizer-BioNTech that hopes to stop COVID from wreaking havoc was administered at a hospital in Coventry, United Kingdom. According to the National Health Services, Margaret Keenan was the first person in the world to get the vaccine.

“I’m just glad that I’m able to play a part in this historic day,” May said at BBC Breakfast. For Margaret told CNN, “I’m happy it’s happened, and now I’ve done it, and hopefully more people come along and do as I did, you know?.”
